ART PORTFOLIO: A UNIQUE APPROACH

What started as freelance work for a fashion studio, soon turned into a full-time job of making hand-painted organza sarees. With only limited resources available to learn about them, I experimented a lot to get a hang of the right techniques and paint consistencies and to understand the kind of designs that’ll go well on the fabric. I eventually worked to standardize and scale up the process of making hand-painted sarees by creating templates and stencils. With the experience we gained from working on organza, we started developing more traditional patterns for fabrics such as Tussar silk and silk cotton as well.
